Mackay Businesses Challenged to Raise $5,000 for Chance to Win Major Media Package
My Hospital Foundation is calling on Mackay businesses to take on the Breast Intentions Business Challenge, with participants raising more than $5,000 going into the draw to win a major local media package while helping fund a vital piece of breast screening equipment for Mackay Base Hospital.
The challenge forms part of My Hospital Foundation's newly launched Breast Intentions campaign, which aims to raise $115,000 for a Trident HD Specimen Radiography System, an advanced piece of equipment that will enhance breast cancer diagnostics and treatment in the Mackay region.
Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to get creative and fundraise through workplace events, team challenges, customer donation drives or community initiatives.
To reward those going above and beyond, businesses that raise more than $5,000 will go into the draw to win a major media package proudly supported by:

For every $5,000 raised, businesses will receive an additional entry into the draw, increasing their chances of winning. Terms and conditions apply. Winner will be drawn Friday 30 October 2026.
While there's a valuable prize up for grabs, the real reward will be supporting local breast cancer patients and their families.
The Trident HD System will allow surgeons to assess tissue during procedures with greater accuracy, reducing the need for repeat surgeries and easing the physical and emotional burden on patients. The equipment is expected to benefit more than 75 patients each year, while also improving operating theatre efficiency and expanding access to high-quality care closer to home.
"This is about ensuring women in Mackay don't have to travel long distances for essential breast health services," My Hospital Foundation Managing Executive Officer Ashleen O'Neill said.
"Tools like this are an essential asset to regional towns such as Mackay. This fundraising effort is about improving early detection, better outcomes, and keeping specialised healthcare close to home, for our mums, sisters, daughters, friends and neighbours."
