Did you know there was an estimated number of 19,974 new cases of breast cancer in Australia in 2020? BreastScreen Queensland is a screening and assessment service for women to detect early signs and symptoms of breast cancer. The Mackay Hospital Foundation has supported the Mackay BreastScreen Centre for multiple years now, donating goods to help patients feel more comfortable.

The Special Care Nursery is a division under the Women's Health Unit, which looks after all unwell or preterm babies. Through generous donations from local people and businesses, the Mackay Hospital Foundation has donated Medela bottle warmers to the Special Care Nursery.
