Avast me hearties – International Talk Like a Pirate Day has come and gone!
Mackay Base Hospital's Lawry Goodwin got staff on board to dress and speak like pirates on Thursday, all for a good cause. Lawry and his crew surprised the children in the Mackay Hospital Foundation's Play Group and encouraged people to donate some of their loot to the Mackay Hospital Foundation.
The fundraising total came to $500 and will go towards Greatest Needs. Congratulations go to Lawry and his crew on their successful fundraising!

Making a donation to your local hospital through the Mackay Hospital Foundation is quick and simple. To select an option that best suits you simply choose your preferred method:
The donations received by the Foundation are given to the specialised area or hospital that YOU have chosen. If a hospital or area is not chosen in the MHHS district donations are allocated to ‘greatest needs’.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
