Speech therapy will be given a boost at Mackay Base Hospital thanks to new equipment purchases. A hospital iPad and a range of apps will be utilised by speech pathologists to help patients with speech and swallowing difficulties.
The Myer Mackay team’s latest donation of $6,202.80 will cover the costs of these purchases. Staff raised the money through the holding of bake sales, raffles and other activities during the year.
The Myer Mackay team has generously donated to the Foundation for three consecutive years, with their next donation benefiting the hospital Birth Centre. Staff-raised funds are matched by Myer through the Myer Stores Community Fund. Thankyou to Myer Mackay for making us your local charity of choice.

The donations received by the Foundation are given to the specialised area or hospital that YOU have chosen. If a hospital or area is not chosen in the MHHS district donations are allocated to ‘greatest needs’.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
