Mackay Hospital Foundation will now raise funds through a fantastic partnership with local business, BLUE RIVER WATER. Launched last week, 600ml Blue River Water bottles proudly display the Foundation logo, with two cents from every bottle going directly towards the Foundation’s work. So not only is the water bottled locally, but the funds raised through their sales stay locally too!
Francis Vigliante, Blue River Water encouraged locals to keep their eyes peeled for the bottled water as it hits shelves. “ Local corner stores, service stations, independent supermarkets, cafes and many more locations will be stocking the 600ml bottles over the coming weeks,” Mr Vigliante said.
Adrienne Burke, General Manager of the Mackay Hospital Foundation said “the Foundation is pleased that Blue River Water, a long established local business has chosen to support the Mackay Hospital Foundation with their exciting new range of locally produced 600ml bottled water. Two cents from every bottle sold will be donated to the Foundation so that we can support our local hospitals and make a difference in the lives of local people”. The prospect of making a difference is what also encouraged Blue River Water to forge the partnership. “As a local company with a local product we were looking at putting something back into the local community,” Mr Vigliante said.
“We support many local charities with their yearly fundraisers but we wanted to also support a local charity on an ongoing basis that would benefit all of the community throughout the year within our market. The Mackay Hospital Foundation’s work and local community base was the sort of partnership we could develop and support, and we are pleased to participate in the Foundation’s future success.”
These are exciting times for both Blue River Water and Mackay Hospital Foundation, with bottles of the MHF-branded water handed out at Mackay Marina Run at the weekend. Listen out for the bottled water ads on Sea FM and Hot FM radio from this week, with ads on TV to come!
Making a donation to your local hospital through the Mackay Hospital Foundation is quick and simple. To select an option that best suits you simply choose your preferred method:
The donations received by the Foundation are given to the specialised area or hospital that YOU have chosen. If a hospital or area is not chosen in the MHHS district donations are allocated to ‘greatest needs’.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
