Curious to know where the money raised from Give Me 5 For Kids is going? Here are our hospital Wish Lists.
Mackay Base Hospital, Special Care Nursery:
1. A neonatal monitor (for heartbeat and other child patient data),
2. A portable oxygen monitor,
3. A special baby bed (for premature and newborn babies),
4. A portable child specific monitor for cardiac function,
5. A child specific respiratory assessment unit and,
6. A cocoon-like thermoregulator for babies with Jaundice and respiratory problems.
Proserpine Hospital, Child and Adolescent Unit:
1. A paediatric mobile monitor (for newborns and children) and,
2. A
baby nest (warming water mattress for newborns/premature babies that
substitutes a mother's skin). With your help this past month, we've
already been able to tick the baby nest off the list for Proserpine
Hospital. Thankyou!

Making a donation to your local hospital through the Mackay Hospital Foundation is quick and simple. To select an option that best suits you simply choose your preferred method:
The donations received by the Foundation are given to the specialised area or hospital that YOU have chosen. If a hospital or area is not chosen in the MHHS district donations are allocated to ‘greatest needs’.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
