Quota's second annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon raised a fantastic $3, 395.02 for the Oncology Ward at the Mackay Base Hospital. The event proved bigger and better than its inaugural year, with over 100 people attending in their finest race day fashion.
The generous donation will be used to purchase portable DVD players and children's movies to provide comfort and a distraction to young ones receiving oncology treatment in the Children's Ward. Adult oncology patients will also benefit through the purchase of priority hospital items.
Congratulations go to the small but dedicated group of Quota women who pulled off the delightful luncheon. We sincerely thank them for their generous support.

The donations received by the Foundation are given to the specialised area or hospital that YOU have chosen. If a hospital or area is not chosen in the MHHS district donations are allocated to ‘greatest needs’.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
