A fun ice-skating fundraiser for the Foundation was attended this week by Mackay Hospital and Health Service staff and their families.
The event, held at the MECC, saw a fabulous turnout of people and raised approximately $1600 in Foundation funds. This was the second time the fundraiser has been held.
For some, it was their first time on the ice. Attendees took turns skating around the rink and zooming down the luge. The chilly venue was a nice relief from the stifling summer heat.
Thankyou to Mark Fawcett at the MECC for arranging the complimentary ice-skating session. All proceeds raised will help the Mackay Hospital Foundation support our local hospitals.
