The Mackay Quota Club is hosting a Melbourne Cup Luncheon to raise funds for the Mackay Hospital Foundation. Proceeds will benefit the oncology ward of the Mackay Base Hospital, after the club funded a recliner chair for the Child and Adolescent Unit earlier this year.
Now in its second year, the luncheon is just one of the many community fundraisers held by the dedicated Quota Club women.
Community members are encouraged to purchase their tickets before 1 November, at a cost of $85 each with tables of up to 10 people available.
The Melbourne Cup luncheon will be held at the Mackay Grand Suites on Tuesday 5 November from 11.30am. Included in the event is a three course meal, fashion parade, fashions on the field competitions and an array of exciting prizes. The donations received by the Foundation are given to the specialised area or hospital that YOU have chosen. If a hospital or area is not chosen in the MHHS district donations are allocated to ‘greatest needs’.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
